About ACENTP
On the 4th June 2011, three ENT Specialists, Dr Brian Williams, Dr Joseph Scoppa and Dr Stanley Stylis, held a meeting to complete documentation for the establishment of a not for profit college to promote excellence in the practice of Medical Otorhinolaryngology and Medico-Legal medicine amongst ENT Specialists. This will include
-
- Continuing education of the ENT community in general, and
- To service the interests and education of ENT Specialists,
- To specifically assist/train interested ENT Specialists in preparing medico-legal reports,
- To provide a forum and association for ENT Specialists who subspecialise in or have a special interest in ENT physiology / disease / pathology / audio-vestibular medicine / ENT allergy / clinical investigations, and Medico-Legal medicine; and
- To underscore the standing of ENT physiology and medical disease and its importance in medical and surgical management.
Accordingly it will play an important role in the continuing professional development of every ENT Specialist but especially those who subspecialise in or have a special interest in Medical Otorhinolaryngology and/or Medico-legal medicine. It is open to ENT Specialists who are ordinary members, senior members or life members of ASOHNS, or full members of the NZ Society of Otolaryngology.
We take a serious view of our college and value highly its aims.
ACENTP has membership for ENT Specialists whose practice is entirely Medical Otorhinolaryngology and/or Medico-Legal Medicine, as well as associate membership for ENT Specialists whose practice is not entirely Medical Otorhinolaryngology and/or Medico-Legal medicine and who still have operating sessions.
